About Stan Reckard

Stan Reckard My photography and digital art creations are an attempt to capture or imitate the beauty that I see in the world. There is beauty all around. It can be found in a sunset, a loon spreading its wings, a simple flower, an abstract cloud, a galaxy, or a person's smile. The list goes on and on.

My desire is to capture some of this beauty and to share it with others. The inspiration for my artwork comes from the variety, beauty, and design seen in creation. God is the inventor of beauty (Gen 2:9) and it is evident everywhere. Although sometimes beautiful things can be harder to find, it can also be that we forget to look for it. I hope my art is a reminder of the good things we can be thankful for and of a God who is the source of all things good.

I am a software developer/designer by trade, but I have enjoyed art since I was young. Photography has been a hobby of mine since I was in grade school. I have also used my interests in math and science to experiment with abstract art creations, dabbling in computer art via some programs I have written.
